Tisean Hendricks

"Stop wishing things were better, and be better, do better and move better"

 

Ms. Tisean Hendricks joined the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission Team in 2007 as the Utility Staff Assistant. She then transitioned into the Legal Department as the Legal Support Specialist and Custodian of Records.

Today, Ms Hendricks is charged with leading a progressive staff as the Assistant Executive Director. Within this new role, she says that her goal for the PSC is "to develop a thriving agency that hones excellence, productivity, service and advancement as its key standards."

As the Assistant Executive Director of the PSC, Ms. Hendricks looks forward to fostering greater relationships with internal and external clients while building a foundation of knowledgeable, effective, and efficient staff that will excel, advance, and allow the PSC to lead the Regulatory Industry.

While juggling two roles within the agency and her many extracurricular activities, Ms. Hendricks continues to advance and acquire knowledge by staying abreast of the industry trends, challenging herself to improve and seeking new information through research and investigation.

With a regulatory experience that spans over 20 years, Ms. Sandra L. Setorie started her regulatory career with the Department of Planning & Natural Resources as a Land Use Planner.

She then entered an entirely different realm of governance at the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission as a Complaint Officer.

A few years later, she accepted the responsibility as the agency's first Assistant Executive Director where she would serve until 2023, when she became the first female Executive Director of the PSC.

 

As the Executive Director of the PSC, Ms. Setorie has a commitment to strive for excellence in serving and development, leading the agency to produce a positive and significant difference in standards, regulations and technology.

Her vision for her staff is to cultivate the next generation of dynamic influencers and passionate leaders as industry experts.

"If we are not challenged every day on our jobs, then it's very likely that we haven't found the right role or are not working to our optimum abilities," said Director Setorie.
